For the welfare of ordinary public, bank opened a Neethi medical shop at the Cherthala KSRTC bus stand building. It was inaugurated by Sri. G.Sudhakaran, Hon. Minister for Co-Operation and Coir, Govt. Of Kerala on 1st April 2010. It is functioning from 8 am to 8 Pm. and people can buy medicine with 10 - 25% discount.
Bank participated in ‘EMS Sampoorna Parppida Padhathi’ by giving loan of rupees 1.3 crore to the Cherthala Municipality to provide homes for the poor people. The ‘EMS Sampoorna Parppida Padhathi’, is an attractive project initiated by the Government under the Local Self Government Department. Through this project, The Government is committed for providing housing facilities for all the people in the State. It is estimated that there are seven lakh thatched houses in Kerala, which require upgradation.
